Reaper. & Damn I need to get this blog up.

I'm pretty happy with Reaper so far (week now), a good basic DAW with a lot of features I really dig. Was a bitch getting rewire in all nice like, but I've done it, and bounced, and recorded dozens of guitar, bass, and vocal tracks besides. The plugin selection is not awesome, but I'll amend it soon... nonetheless, it has the basics I want/need. I like that it's so relatively plain - Been suing Pro Tools at school now for 5 months, and it's been screwing my brain, so clunky (albeit powerful and lovely) and awkward for me. I'm craving simplicity; once I got the signal routing down, Reaper is a simple & charming DAW. I don't know that I'll stick with it, but I will at least record a few numbers on it before deciding. I love love love rewiring!!!!! (hooking Reason up through a DAW)
